I was asked by the team behind WeddingHour (the International Wedding Directory) to help them to launch their new website. I composed the mission statement devised to promote the directory’s launch to a global market, and copy-edited initial website content. I also researched, and wrote, features for the WeddingHour blog.
To support the team during busy periods, I also co-hosted #weddinghour: the weekly Twitter hashtag hour. I wrote and scheduled tweets that are still in use today; I also composed live responses to react to, and engage with, Twitter users worldwide.
We’ve collaborated on some great projects. Recently, we reported on up-cycler Max McMurdo’s visit to Thorpe Arch’s Decoporium (and spent the day with the man himself).
I’m also proud to have supported Jo, along with Mel Malcolm, through PR content for the Yorkshire Choice Awards.

The Wedding Affair team recognised a need to further promote their existing wedding fairs across Yorkshire and Lancashire. They appointed Verat to deliver the copy that sold to both industry suppliers and engaged couples alike.
I created email marketing campaigns to drive bookings, devised sales pieces to engage brides and grooms, and revised existing promotional copy.
I was also instrumental to the launch of a revised The Wedding Affair Blog. Solely responsible for initial content creation, I delivered an innovative content plan.
